The Harvest Fellowship Church is a Bible Based Non-Denominational Fellowship of Followers of Jesus Christ. We are founded on the teachings of The Bible, God’s Inerrant Holy Word. Our aim and mission is to glorify God and reach the world with the message of hope found only through Jesus Christ the only Son of God. WeWe are Driven to Reach the Lost, Duty Bound to Disciple the Saints and Desperate to Connect with God
God:
God is creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. Genesis 1:1, 26, 27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Matthew 28:19; I Peter 1:2; II Corinthians 13:14
Jesus Christ:
Jesus Christ is the Only Begotten Son of God. He is Co-Equal with God. He is God. He is the Second person in the Godhead. He is the Only Savior for all mankind. He was born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life. He died a sacrificial death to pay for our sins. He arose from the grave to give us eternal life. He is coming again to receive His followers to be with Him forever. Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 7:14; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; Hebrews 4:14-15; Colossians 1:15-20; John 14:1-6
The Holy Spirit:
The Holy Spirit is equal with God the Father and God the Son. He is the presence of God in the World today. He works to empower the followers of Christ and to convict the lost of their sins and their need for Jesus. He enlightens and empowers Christ Followers through revelation and illumination of the Word of God and indwelling endowing them with spiritual gifts and His spiritual fruit. All Christ Followers should seek to be led by the Holy Spirit every day of their lives. II Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 2:1-2; I Corinthians 2:12-14; 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; 5:18; Galatians 5:22-25
The Bible:
The Bible is God’s Inerrant and Infallible Word to all mankind. It is written by the hand of men who were inspired by God. It is the supreme source of truth in all the world. It is only the 66 books from Genesis through Revelation. It is finished and complete and can never be added to nor can any part be taken away. II Timothy 3:16-17; Psalm 119; Matthew 24:35
Man:
Man is created by God in His own image. He is the supreme object of God’s creation. Even though man has tremendous potential for good, he is marred by sin through disobedience to God’s revealed will. This sin separates mankind from God. Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; Isaiah 59:1-2
Eternity:
Man was created to exist forever. He will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation in Jesus Christ. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with God is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence. Hell for eternal punishment. Heaven for eternal salvation by God’s Grace. Man enters eternity through death or at the Lord’s return. John 3:16; I John 2:25; 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 20:15
Salvation:
Salvation is the gift of God. It is By God’s Grace through our Faith. Man can never earn salvation. Man can never attain salvation through any kind of religious activity. Jesus Christ paid for salvation and man can only receive what He has accomplished through His life, Death and Resurrection. Once a person is truly saved, they are eternally secure in the finished work of Christ by His Grace John 14:6; 1:12; Romans 5:1; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 3:26; Titus 3:5
Baptism:
Baptism is by immersion of the believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It can only be properly done through immersion. It is the basic step of a person who has received Christ and sincerely wants to follow Him and His example. It represents the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and also the death, burial and resurrection of the follower of Christ. It is not for salvation but rather because of salvation. Matthew 3:13-17; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:41
The Lord’s Supper is given to the Church to do on a regular basis to remind us of the death of Christ for our sins. It represents the body and blood of Jesus that He gave so we could be saved. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the two ordinances that Jesus gave the church. Matthew 26:17-30; I Corinthians 11:17-26
Marriage and the Family:
Marriage is the union between one man and one woman for life. We believe marriage is God’s most sacred institution between a man and a woman. The origin of marriage is found with the first couple God created in the Garden of Eden (Adam and Eve). In Genesis 2:18-25 God brought this first couple together. Marriage is the only union that allows for men and women to live together intimately. Marriage is the public commitment of a man and a woman to spend their lives together. The purpose of marriage is for intimate companionship and procreation. It is the basis for family life.
Weddings:
Our weddings are to be Christ Honoring Worship Services. They should be done in accordance with the teaching of the Bible our only source for truth. The purpose for a wedding is to allow a man and a woman to publicly declare their commitment to each other for life in the deepest relationship a man and a woman can have, i.e., holy matrimony or marriage.
We the Harvest Fellowship Church will only perform weddings according to the teaching of the Bible. We will not perform marriages for same sex couples. All Marriages will be performed by the Senior Pastor or ordained Staff ministers in accordance with our policy and upon the approval of the Senior Pastor.
Facilities and Grounds:
Facilities, Grounds and Equipment will only be used for activities that correspond with the Biblical Standards adopted by The Harvest Fellowship Church.
